EVP of Construction

Sam Adams serves as Executive Vice President of Construction at Pogue Construction, bringing almost three decades of leadership and technical expertise to the role. A Certified Construction Manager (CCM) and LEED Accredited Professional (BD+C), Sam is known for his ability to lead large, complex projects while fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.

 

Sam has been part of the Pogue team since 1998, contributing to the company’s growth and reputation as one of Texas’s premier general contractors. He has played a pivotal role in delivering some of the firm’s most notable projects, including the award-winning Children’s Health Stadium in Prosper ISD, which was named ENR Texas & Louisiana’s 2020 Best Project in Sports and Entertainment.

 

He is a strong believer in the power of people—passionate about mentoring field teams, building trust with trade partners, and creating environments where teams are empowered to succeed. His leadership style emphasizes clear communication, operational discipline, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.

 

He has forged deep relationships with architects, trade partners, owners, and is widely recognized as one of the premier construction experts in the Dallas-Fort Worth.

A longtime advocate for Pogue’s “Powered by People” philosophy, Sam continues to inspire teams across Texas to build with purpose and pride.

 

Sam and his wife Anita reside in McKinney and enjoy spending time with their family and dog. Sam loves to hunt, fish, and cook barbecue.
